We all have that lifelong Friend. It seems we have not known a day without them. Separate lives, work, families, but when we share time together, it is as though we have never really been apart. We just pick up where we left off.

One likes horses and gardening, cross country travel. The other enjoys fibre arts, music, film and laughter, country drives.

What we have in common is respect, an interest in each others’ well being. We share similar morals & values. We care. We celebrate with visits & dinners around a table with family. We are Friends, as much an intertwining of lives as the Roots as the Family Trees we have come from. There is Joy in this kind of Friendship. It is fulfilling, it is very good.
My Friend wishes to move -- Seaside. I am the one who likes to be by the water. She is the one to go and actually do it. Too funny. May her dream come true. May she ride her horses on the country roads down to the beaches near her new home. This simple one row repeat cowl is for her. I chose Urth Grains. This wool has two colours that are  complimentary to one another, like us, always changing yet always spiraling/intertwined. A sport weight yarn for the light feeling of grace that one associates with such a Friend. She favours blues, hence the Jacaranda colour. To keep her warm, a physical reminder  that even though we will be far apart, we are Friends, she is always loved. Maybe it's a reminder for me. Either way, we will always greet each other, with a Hug, a Smile & Joy. Stay as long as you like, you are always welcome.
